Billy MurphyBilly Murphy - Executive Chairman
A co-founder of the company in 1989, Billy is one of Ireland's top PR advisors. During his 21 years in consultancy, he has worked across all aspects of the industry from major brand sponsorships through to the privatisation of Eircom for the Irish Government.

Today, Billy's focus is on advising Drury Communications corporate client base, with a particular concentration on financial communications including issue management, mergers and acquisitions, corporate fund raising and market reputation management. Billy currently advises many of Ireland's leading quoted companies.

A graduate of Rockwell College and UCD, Billy is a member of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland, he likes music and painting and is an avid Munster rugby and Tipperary hurling fan.

Padraig McKeonPadraig McKeon - Managing Director
Padraig joined Drury Communications in 1992 and has almost 20 years experience in PR. Having been heavily involved in the agricultural and retail sectors his work in recent years has been concentrated on the co-ordination of corporate pr programmes and crisis management.

A Director of the company since 1997, Padraig spent two years living and working in Budapest leading a start-up business for Drury Communications in Central Europe up to 2000. He was appointed Managing Director in December 2003. He is a member of the PR Institute of Ireland, the Institute of Directors, the Irish Management Institute and the RDS.

A native of Sligo, Padraig is a passionate sports fan, particularly following the fortunes of Sligo's gaelic football teams.

Trish MorrisseyTrish Morrissey - Director
Trish joined Drury Communications in 1997 having previously spent ten years working in corporate PR in London where she still retains close links with ex-colleagues and media contacts. Trish has a wealth of experience in both corporate and brand public relations management and is one of Ireland's foremost media relations practitioners.

A member of the PR Institute of Ireland and ex board member of the Public Relations Consultants Association, Trish has extensive in-depth knowledge of the travel, hospitality, retail and property sectors. A Director of Drury Communications since 2001, Trish loves to travel and is a keen tennis player.

Paddy HughesPaddy Hughes - Director
Paddy Hughes leads our corporate communications team. He joined Drury Communications in 1996 having previously worked as an election coordinator in the 1994 European Election and as in-house PR officer in Digital Ireland (later Compaq, now HP).

Paddy advises some of our key corporate and financial public relations clients guiding their communications planning, financial calendar management and crisis management.

An avid reader and follower of current affairs, Paddy is also a member of the National Council of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland (PRII)

Barry EganBarry Egan - Director
Barry Egan leads Drury Research, the specialist market research division within Drury Communications. A psychology graduate of UCD and Trinity with a Masters degree in marketing from Strathclyde University, Barry began his research career with Behaviour and Attitudes from where he joined Drury Research in 1999.

Barry has headed our Research division since April 2002 and has focussed and grown the business in the intervening period with a concentration on the healthcare, business to business and public sectors.

A native of Dublin, Barry maintains an ongoing interest in current affairs and literature and is a member of the Marketing Society and Marketing Institute of Ireland.

Hilary MurrayHilary Murray - Director
Hilary is Drury communications' company secretary and financial controller.  She is a Chartered Accountant and joined Drury Communications in early 2000 having worked previously with Price Waterhouse Coopers.

Hilary play a key role in the management of Drury Communications with particular emphasis on all financial, IT and provision of support services.

A native of Limerick, Hilary is a keen traveller and enjoys swimming and yoga in her spare time.

Niamh GarveyNiamh Garvey - Head of Consumer & Healthcare Communications
Since graduating with an International honours degree in French and Italian, followed by a post graduate in PR, Niamh has built extensive experience in sales, marketing and PR across a number of specialist areas including a period based in Rome.

A member of the PR Institute of Ireland, Niamh joined Drury Communications in 2003 to head up our healthcare division, having previously worked in a number of leading Dublin agencies focussing on a range of healthcare and consumer clients particularly in the areas of prescription product, OTC brands and consumer products with nutritional dimensions.

Niamh still maintains a strong interest in the Italian culture and enjoys travel, golf and pilates.

Iarla Mongey - Head of Public Affairs

Iarla Mongey

Iarla joined Drury Communications in the   summer of 2005 from his position as the Deputy Government Press Secretary and Head of Government Information Services. During his time with the government, he worked closely with the Tanaiste, Mary Harney, on her political agenda, traversing two Government Departments in that time – Enterprise Trade & Employment and Health & Children.

Iarla now heads up our Public Affairs team working with clients across the board providing counsel, shaping programmes and interfacing with both public sector officials and elected representatives’ both to address new opportunities and issues in their businesses.

A native of Mayo, Iarla also has vast broadcasting experience having previously been the political correspondent with INN and having worked for RTE and a number of regional stations. During his career in journalism, Iarla had the opportunity to interview Bill Clinton, Nelson Mandela and Tony Blair.

Iarla is an avid follower of current affairs and he enjoys swimming, cycling, yachting and Suduko in his spare time.


Oonagh Daly, Client Director

Oonagh joined Drury Communications in 1999 having previously worked as a fundraiser and marketing executive in a non-profit organisation.

A graduate of Trinity College, Oonagh works mainly in the corporate area of the company and has a specialist experience of, and interest in, community relations and corporate responsibility.

Outside work Oonagh takes a keen interest in film and yoga.

Orla BensonOrla Benson - Client Director
Having graduated from UCD and the Smurfit Graduate School with degrees in languages and Business, Orla worked in marketing with an IFSC Capital Markets company before moving first to Belfast and then to Canada to work in an overseas sales and marketing programme. She then worked as an Alumni Relations Manager for the Smurfit School before joining Drury Communications in 1999.

A member of the PR Institute of Ireland, Orla works in the Corporate Team specialising in financial PR and business to business communications.

Anne-Marie Curran - Client Director

Anne-Marie Curran joined Drury Communications in August 2004 having previously worked with Fleishman-Hillard Saunders for just under four years. She specialises in corporate communications with particular experience in media relations and in the area of advice to professional services organisations.

A graduate of University College Dublin (UCD) with a B.A. International in French and German, Anne-Marie is fluent in French and has lived and worked in both France and Germany. Anne-Marie enjoys recreational water sports including surfing and scuba diving and swims regularly.

Alison KellyAlison Kelly - Client Director
Alison Kelly joined Drury Communications in May 2006 as a Client Director in the Consumer Division.  Alison has extensive experience in framing and implementing multifaced consumer public and media relations programmes across a range of FMCG sectors in both agency and in-house roles.

Prior to joining Drury Communications she was the PR and Sponsorship Manager for the national St. Patrick’s festival.  Alison previously worked for Fleishman Hillard where she managed clients in the retail, foods, drinks, and media sectors.

In her spare time Alison enjoys the arts, following fashion and loves a good parade!  

Sarah Ryan - Client Director
Sarah Ryan

Originally from Tipperary, Sarah joined Drury Communications in July 2005 after three years in New Zealand, where she held the positions of Senior Advisor Public Affairs at Sport and Recreation New Zealand and Communications Advisor at the New Zealand Building Industry Authority. In Ireland, Sarah has worked for The Fulbright Commission and public relations companies Dillon Consultants and Fleishman-Hillard.

A graduate of UCD with an honours MA in Anglo-Irish Literature, Sarah also holds a Diploma in Marketing, Advertising and PR.

Bernie Cashman - Client Support Manager

Drury Communications' efforts on behalf  of its clients rely heavily on the input of a small but committed client support team which is led by Bernie  Cashman.

A native of Dublin, Bernie had previously worked in a variety of roles in the tourism and hospitality areas. She joined Drury Communications in 1999. Bernie and her team support the directors and executives on a range of different client projects and all aspects of client work.

Bernie enjoys swimming and reading in her spare time.

Paula MullinPaula Mullin - Client Manager
Paula joined Drury Communications in mid 2003 and has gained experience in both corporate and consumer work. She also has a special interest in corporate responsibility work. A native of Tyrone, Paula graduated from Queen's University, Belfast with an honours degree in Psychology and Sociology before beginning her PR career in Dublin in 2000. She worked in The Communications Partnership and Murray Consultants before travelling in late 2002 across Asia, Australia and America.

In her spare time, Paula is interested in music and film and she is also actively involved in charity work.

Megan Stack - Client Manager

Megan Stack

Megan joined Drury Communications in April 2005 and works with consumer and healthcare clients. Prior to joining Drury, she worked as the company manager in Dance Theatre of Ireland, where she was in charge of PR, marketing, tour coordination, sponsorship and grant writing.

Originally from Chicago, USA, Megan was an executive in a PR and marketing firm dedicated solely to arts and entertainment clients. She holds an honours degree in Communications Studies from University of Illinois – Chicago and is an associate member of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland.

In her spare time, Megan enjoys Pilates, swimming and cycling as well as attending live music, theatre and dance events.

Martha Kavanagh - Client Manager

Martha joined Drury Communications in January 2006 and works with a number of public affairs and corporate clients, providing insights into the factors that shape public policy and advising clients on their corporate and public affairs strategies.

Martha began her career in Paris where she worked with the overseas division of the Irish business development agency, Enterprise Ireland.  Her role consisted of providing strategic and operational marketing and PR advice to a range of leading Irish SMEs across the financial services and telecommunications sectors.

Originally from Wexford, Martha is a graduate of DCU and holds a BA in Applied Languages (French and German) and an MA in International Relations.  She has a strong interest in politics and current affairs and is a member of the Irish Institute of European Affairs and the PRII.  In her spare time, she enjoys running, reading and loves to travel, especially back to her old haunts in Paris!

 

Karen Ferris - Client Manager

Karen Ferris

Karen Ferris previously worked in the public sector before joining Drury Communications in April 2006.  Having worked with the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Justice, she spent two years in Brussels as Political Affairs Advisor with the Korean Mission to the EU.  Her role consisted of analysing European news and political developments and liaising with Korean media to highlight the profile of the European Union in Korea.  She now works mainly with a number of corporate clients.

Karen is a graduate from the University of Limerick, qualifying in 2003 with a first class honours MA in Peace and Development Studies.  She also holds a first class honours BA in Public Administration.  A native of Tipperary, Karen is an avid GAA supporter and has an active interest in politics and current affairs. 

John Ward - Client Manager

John Ward joined Drury Communications as a Client Manager in February 2007 and currently works on a number of clients including Hewlett Packard, Wyeth and Cement Roadstone Holdings (CRH).

Prior to joining the team John spent six years working in IBM as Communications Partner for IBM’s Dublin Technology Campus as senior adviser to the Manufacturing Director and more recently as the Media Relations Manager for IBM in Ireland.

In his capacity as Media Relations Manager, John coordinated all IBM press activity and acted as spokesperson across Manufacturing; Research; Software; Sales and Marketing.

During this time, John also worked in radio broadcasting presenting a weekly segment on Science and Technology for radio station Dublin City Anna Livia 103.2fm. John holds a Science Degree (BSc) from NUI Maynooth and a Higher Diploma (HDip) in Journalism and Broadcasting.

Myra McAuliffe - Client Executive

Myra joined Drury Communications in August 2006 as part of the corporate team. Prior to this Myra spent time in Brussels working in the European Commission where she worked for the Deputy Spokesperson for the European Commission as a member of the Planning and Coordination Unit of DG Communication. 

Myra holds an MA in Journalism from the National University of Galway and spent time working in the Kilkenny People newspaper as a reporter. She holds an honours degree in English and French from University College Cork.  From Kilkenny, in her spare time Myra is interested in the theatre, cinema, swimming and water-safety.

 

Kevin Daly - Client Executive

Kevin joined Drury Communications in August 2006 as Junior Client Executive having completed a post-graduate diploma in Public Relations with the Fitzwilliam Institute. As part of the work experience module of the post-graduate, Kevin worked as Marketing and Sponsorship assistant on the 2006 St. Patrick’s Festival.

A native of Clare, Kevin also holds a BA in History and Economics from NUI Maynooth.  He has a keen interest in all things sports-related,especially GAA, soccer and rugby.  He also enjoys music, reading and going to the cinema.

Kim Lombard - Client Executive

Kim Lombard joined Drury Communications in August 2006 as part of the consumer team. Prior to joining the company she worked with Statestreet International (Ireland) Limited in the IFSC where she was a member of the client services team. In this role she handled the activities of various clients such as Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch.

Kim holds a bachelor of commerce degree from UCC, specialising in marketing. She also holds a post-graduate diploma in PR and event management with the Fitzwilliam Institute. She is a member of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland and the Marketing Institute of Ireland.

 Donal Quinn - Client Executive

Donal joined Drury Communications in February 2007 as a Client Executive. He currently works on a range of clients including CRH, Greenstar, HP and Bóthar. Donal joined Drury Communications from the Institute of European Affairs where he worked as a Researcher, looking at a wide spread of national, European and international issues. He produced a series of policy updates and rapporteur’s reports and worked on publications and public relations for the Institute.

 

Having done humanitarian work in Kosovo in 2002, Donal then completed a Masters in International Relations in DCU and subsequently spent time working as a researcher, tutor and lecturer in DCU before joining the Institute of European Affairs. Originally trained as a computer engineer at the University of Limerick, Donal gained experience in industry working for software design specialists S3. He has been involved in developing websites since 1997 and worked as a software contractor for Charles Schwab stockbrokers in San Francisco.
